And it really matters to Olde South Construction. From your very first meeting, you will see the difference. We ask questions and we listen. We want to know about you and how you will use your new home. Do you entertain a lot? Would you like an exercise room? Office? Media center? Do you have any special needs for kitchens or bathrooms? We discuss everything: lighting, floor coverings, cabinetry, windows, window treatments, furniture and placement. We explore the best placement of your home on your lot, views, traffic patterns, garage use and much more. Then we start helping you design your home, beginning with the basic floor plan. We incorporate the features that you want in your new home, and then we draw it.

At our second meeting we go over the drawings. If necessary, we adjust room sizes, realign bathrooms, relocate walls and windows and revisit utility rooms, pantry’s garages, decks and porches. We discuss exteriors, colors, tile, wood trim….. all the little things that make your home uniquely yours. We’ll redraw your plans with any changes that you want.

On our third meeting, we finalize the drawings. This includes the roof lines, placement of the home on the home site, location of windows and doors and selection of floor coverings. We’ll also agree on the price. At this point we develop a master schedule which includes time frames for foundation, framing, roofing, drywall and other major building stages. The important feature of this schedule is that it also provides you with the dates by which selections are needed. Together we can do most of this right in our office.

At all times during the construction of your home we welcome your comments, and suggestions. We know that this is your home and we want it to be exactly as you imagined it. Everyday one of our owners is at your home site insuring that the quality of construction and the attention to detail meets our standards, which are considerably higher than “industry standards”. We keep you abreast of our progress and constantly provide photos for our out-of- town owners.

Before your home is finished, we’ll tour it with you. We make note of any discrepancies and correct them immediately. In approximately thirty days we’ll do it again to insure that everything is in order. Our pursuit of perfection is reflected in everything that we do.
